“Teenagers today are too obsessed with their looks. Many of them consider getting plastic surgery to alter their appearance.”
I feel that plastic surgery is just a waste of money and time as well.Even though it's kind of a fashion nowadays in countries like Japan and Korea which started the trend, plastic surgery cannot change our appearance for we are who we are.Even if we look better after the plastic surgery, it doesn't change much of us despite the visual effects and mentality.Plastic surgery do helps us to boost our confidence for we will look good and feel good about it. The visual effects will fade as times passes by and you will get troubled for you need more money to go for the plastic surgery again and that means more money and time.No point in investing your money on appearance since you can use that money to do business and make even more money or something else which is much worth it like charity or education.
I'm not being biased or anything but we can take Micheal Jackson for an example.He was a black but he had gone through the plastic surgery and became a white.In my opinion,being beautiful after the surgery is not real beauty.It is fake beauty to me for we were made this way and we shouldn't change it.Instead, we should be proud of who we are and not get obsessed with celebrities and making yourself look like them.Even if you look like them, you can never be like them.Also, if everyone wants to look like celebrates, then everyone will look the same for being yourself is special since we are the only ones that look that way(unless you have a twin or someone had done plastic surgery and maybe look like you).We should ignore people's criticism about our looks for insulting us will not make them prettier either.Instead of getting hurt and ended up going for plastic surgery.
There is a saying that beauty is skin-deep.True beauty lies inside of you.Looks will not last forever but it's the character that will.You don't marry someone just because he is suave or she is gorgeous right?Gerard Way, the lead singer of My Chemical Romance,a band,once said"Be yourself,don't take any one's shit for being who you are and never let them take you alive." Thus, we should accept who we are and be proud about it instead of changing it.By going through plastic surgery, there is also a chance of it coming out as a disaster as well and you will ended up with negative effects such as physical scars or marks on the body and several other problems including death(yes I just said death).Plastic surgery also leaves some marks or spots on the body which can be rectified by performing another plastic surgery.Some are permanent which cannot be treated by any surgery.Plus, the recovery period can be lengthy as well,lasting up to several months.Results may not turn out what you want it to be.Are you willing to waste and risk your life like that just because of this kind of fake beauty that will only last for a while?Not only that,plastic surgery cost a bomb and you need to take good care of it as well.
If you really want to look good, you must well go for facial or something with that amount of money for it will not be as expensive and there's not much side effects.By taking care of your skin using those facial products and stuff, you can still look good since you have good skin and that means natural beauty.You may not be suave or gorgeous but having good skin makes you look good as well.Plus, there's no point changing your appearance since teenagers are in the stage of puberty now.Their looks may change.That amount of money can be used for other purposes like education and stuffs which is more meaningful rather than using it in improving your looks for it'll not last forever anyways.
Thus plastic surgery is just a waste of time and money for true beauty lies inside you and appearance shouldn't matter that much for you will still grow old someday with wrinkles just like everyone else.
