"Teenagers today are too obsessed with their looks. Many of them consider getting plastic surgery to alter their appearance."
I think that many teenagers are way too obsessed with their looks. You can see many teenagers looking at their reflection whenever they see a mirror. Be it a car mirror, or the mirrors in shopping malls. Many teenagers also wear thick make-up when they go out. Some would even spend a long time doing their make-up even if they are just going to the food court opposite their house for a meal.
Many teenagers are unhappy with their looks and they think that it is very important to look perfect. Thus, many went for plastic surgery. Well, I won't ignore my friend or what if he or she went for it. I won't think that he or she is plastic. But, i think it is rather silly. This is because you have to spend a lot of money just to alter your looks, and the surgery might just fail and you might end up looking worse. Even if the surgery is successful, you have to be very careful not to hurt the area that was altered, or you might end up looking even worse. Not only is it troublesome and expensive, the surgery might just fail, causing you to look uglier. So, why go for it? Although not everyone look good, but they don't look bad either. Just think about those kids who have to go for surgery just to look normal, and compare them with these people who went for plastic surgery although they look okay already.
To me, inner beauty is more important. So what if you spent lots of money on some plastic surgery, and you do end up looking better, if you are ugly inside? Just imagine this beautiful lady or handsome man who is a liar, a backstabber, a hypocrite, or worse. To others, he or she look and feel even worse than those who don't look as good outside, but are beautiful inside.
In conclusion, it's not worth spending so much money going for plastic surgery for you might look worse. Even if the surgery was successful, you have to go through a lot of trouble just to keep that "beauty" going. Also, you will neither look nor feel good to others, if you are beautiful outside but ugly inside. Outer beauty can only bring one that far. But, inner beauty goes a long way. So, inner beauty is much more precious and important than outer beauty.
